Triple Zero (000) Day, Charters Towers

Police team for Triple Zero (000) Day

On Saturday September 9, a friendly sporting competition was held between Queensland Police Service, Queensland Ambulance Service and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services at Charters Towers for our annual Triple Zero (000) Day.

Teams vied for the much coveted bedpan trophy. This competition has been running for over fifteen years and continues to enjoy strong support from all three emergency services.

This year, after a close three way tussle in our versions of soccer, baseball and beach volleyball, QAS prevailed and won the trophy after a thirteen year drought.

After being trophy winners for several years, QPS made light of the loss by likening it to the Blues State of Origin winning streak of 1.

Game on for next year we say!
